Piklo ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Piklo mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
📋 Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as information generated through your use of the Service:
- Account information — name, email address, and profile details you provide when signing up.
- Activity data — pickleball sessions, match logs, drill time, duration, and calories you choose to record.
- Location data — approximate location (with your permission) to help you discover nearby courts and players.
- Usage data — how you interact with the app, features used, and session frequency.
- Device information — device type, OS version, and app version for diagnostics and support.
🎯 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including activity tracking, XP calculations, and leaderboards.
- Personalize your experience and surface relevant players and courts near you.
- Send you updates about the beta, new features, and important Service announcements.
- Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and improve performance.
- Comply with legal obligations.
🤝 How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With other users — your display name, level, and XP rank are visible to others on the leaderboard. You control additional profile visibility in your settings.
- Service providers — trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Piklo or its users.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.
📍 Location Data
Piklo requests access to your device's location to enable court discovery and player matching features. Location access is optional — you can use core tracking features without it. You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. We do not share precise location data with other users; only general proximity is used for matching.
🔒 Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
🧒 Children's Privacy
Piklo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

- Access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
